Leo Moore, Jr., age 72, passed of respiratory failure on March 11, 2021 in Chandler, Arizona. Leo was born August 31, 1948 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. He served his country as a member of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, and was honorably discharged from the Army on January 1, 1975. Leo was known for his laid-back disposition, his fondness for animals and children, and his joy of playing Santa Claus. He was a devoted husband and father.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Debra, his mother, Eva and his brother, Russell.
He is survived by his daughter Jo Ramirez and her husband Steve; his son, Leo Moore III and his wife Liz; three grandchildren, Estevan Ramirez, Devan Ramirez and Drake Moore; two great-grandchildren, Thomas and Bennett Ramirez, and his two sisters, Patricia Kay Kahler and Yvonne Boreen.
A gathering in celebration of life will be held on June 12, 2021 from 9:00am to 10:00am at Wichmann Funeral Homes, Tri-City Chapel at 1592 Oneida Street in Menasha, at the corner of Hwy 441/10 and Oneida Street. There will be a memorial service at 10:00am at the funeral home. There will be reception to follow at an Appleton area park. This obituary will be updated as soon as more information is available.
