Age 86, died on Friday, February 21, 2003 at Appleton Medical Center. Leo was born on October 29, 1916 in Flintville, WI, son of the late John and Sophie (Pawlak) Muraski. Leo married the former Bernice Ristow on September 21, 1940 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Appleton. He was employed for 38 years at Kimberly Clark. Leo then began work at M&I Bank, retiring in 1999 after 20 years. He loyally served his country during World War II. Leo was an avid trout fisherman. He also enjoyed playing cards and socializing. Leo will be greatly missed by his wife, Bernice; his son, Richard (Marilyn) Muraski; 2 daughters, Sandra (Gerald) Stingle; Mary (Mike) Larson; 9 grandchildren, Mary Sue (Russ) Kutz; Beth (Jon) Luetschwager; Gregg (Dawn) Stingle; Matt Larson; Melanie Larson and fiancé, Nick O’Leary; Mark Larson; John, Andy and AnneLissa Muraski; 7 great-grandchildren, Scott and Emily Kutz; Rachael, Megan and Michael Leutschwager; Carson and Cade Stingle; his brother, Donald (Leta) Muraski; 6 sisters, Dorothy Davis; Lillian Szela; Jane (Clyde) Lyberger; Mary Ann Szela; Evelyn Engebritsen; and Carole Wakeman. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews. Leo was preceded in death by 3 brothers, James, Edwin and Robert Muraski; 3 sisters, Eleanor Truskowski; Josephine Diedrich; and Betty Van Erem. The Mass of Resurrection will be held at 5:00 p.m., on Monday, February 24, 2003 at ST. THOMAS MORE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1810 North McDonald Street, Appleton, with Rev. Gerald Falk officiating. The entombment will be held at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. Family and friends will be received at the church on Monday, February 24 from 1 until 4:45 p.m. A special thank you to Dr’s. Kroner, Springer, Beard, Whiteside and especially Dr. Vogt and all the staff at AMC and Theda Care at home for their loving care of Leo.
