LaVerne Mae Simon

LaVerne “Bernie” Simon, age 91, went to live on in spirit, to heaven, with her Savior. LaVerne joined the family members and friends she was so blessed to have in her long life. She certainly ran to “Si” for another dance, something they were well known to enjoy! She was born in Appleton Wisconsin to Earl and Margaret LeMoine, their first born of 10 LeMoine children.

She was married to Marcel Simon for 33 years. “Si” preceded her in death in 1983. She met and married Paul Behrens at Brewster Village in 1992, where they enjoyed 3 years together, prior to his death in 1995.
She is survived by 5 children, 3 sons, Victor (Nancy), Jeffrey(Brigitte) and Marc (Linda Diener), and 2 daughters, Cynthia Simon and Leslie Whiting (David) and was preceded in death by her daughter Renee(Michael) Scanlon in 2010. She is further survived by 11 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, many other relatives and friends, who enjoyed her enduring positive spirit.
There will be a  visitation at Wichmann Funeral Home, Tri County Chapel in Menasha from 2:00pm  to 3:00pm on Wednesday December 15^th, 2021. There will be a memorial service in “Celebration of Life” for LaVerne at 3pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.
