Laurie Lee Neuendorf was a caring daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on Thursday, October 6th, 2022. She had battled dementia and other health issues over the last several years. Through it all, she fought with the Lord by her side and her faith awarded her great peace in her final days.
Laurie was the born to Milo and Barbara Loomis on August 18, 1958, in Portage, WI. She was the oldest of five children. After graduating from Deerfield High School in 1976, she moved to Madison where she met the love of her life. John and Laurie were married on May 3, 1980 and enjoyed 42 years of marriage. Together they had 2 children: Amy and Justin.
For those that knew her well, she was full of joy and loved to make others laugh. Laurie was a strong woman that fiercely cared for and protected those she loved. She enjoyed traveling the country with her family and friends and was always up for an adventure.
One of her greatest joys was being a grandmother to Luke, Lincoln, and Clara. John and Laurie relocated to Neenah in the summer of 2021 to be closer to them. She loved every precious moment with them; whether reading a story, singing or playing guitar in their band, or dressing up in a silly hat to make them laugh.
Laurie is survived by her husband, John Neuendorf, of Neenah (Madison), WI; children: Amy (Ben) Haberkorn of Neenah, WI and Justin Neuendorf of Dodgeville, WI; 3 grandchildren: Luke, Lincoln and Clara Haberkorn; her mother: Barbara Loomis of Deerfield, WI; brothers: Jeff (Holly) Loomis, Randy (Mary) Loomis and Dan (Nike) Loomis; sister: Jeni (Ron) Buser; sister-in-law: Cheryl (Henry) Roeben; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cherished friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Milo Loomis; in-laws, Eugene and Carol Neuendorf; aunts: Nancy Bethke and June Miller; and grandparents.
