Larry Haack, Sr.

Larry Haack, age 56, died very unexpectedly on Friday, August 24, 2007. Larry was born in Green Bay on January 26, 1951, the son of Lester and Joyce Haack of Combined Locks. He was a graduate of the Kimberly High School. Since 1969, he had worked at Appleton Papers Locks Mill, and currently operated a coating machine. Larry enjoyed spending time outdoors, hunting, fishing, and watching the glow of a good fire with good friends and good neighbors. Larry kept a beautiful vegetable garden at his home, and was always generous with the produce he gathered. Most of all, Larry will be remembered by everyone for his thoughtfulness and generosity. He was what you would call a genuine, good guy.

Larry is survived by his parents: Lester and Joyce Haack of Combined Locks; a daughter: Sherrie (John) Swanson of Kimberly and their children Andy and Jordan; a son: Larry Haack, Jr., of Menasha; his former wife: Pat Haack of Menasha; eight brothers and sisters: Carl (Sue) Haack of Menasha; Roy (Linda) Haack of Kimberly; Lester W. (Pam) Haack of Appleton; Mike (Kathy) Haack of Gillett; Susan Haack of Bonduel; Carol Nelson of Appleton; Julie Weyland of Appleton; Joyce (Greg) Sigl of Seymour. He will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, neighbors, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his brother Ricky, and a niece Heather Rose Sigl.

Funeral Services for Larry will be held at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, August 28, 2007 at the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Tim Albrecht of Peace United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in Kaukauna’s Union Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00 PM until the hour of the service.

Dad, we will remember you when the hickory nuts fall, the tomatoes turn orange, a game show is on, and the bonfire burns out. We will never forget the kind of man you were. You will be loved and missed forever!
