Age 56, was born into Eternal Life on Tuesday, April 10, 2001, at Appleton Medical Center. Larry passed away peacefully while being surrounded by his family. He bravely fought to the end against his battle with cancer. He was a gentle giant with a heart of gold. Known by many and love by all that knew him. Larry was born on August 22, 1944, in Wabeno, to the late Carl and Esther (Buttke) Huettl. He married his wife, Kathleen on June 20, 1975, in Appleton. Larry was employed at Stowe Woodward Company for over 20 years, retiring in 1993. He loved nature, classic automobiles, and enjoyed his cabin at Wabeno. Survivors include his wife of 25 years, whom he lovingly referred to as his Angel; his children, Todd (Carrie) Huettl, Neenah; Larry (Kathy) Huettl, Neenah; John (Denise) Huettl, Crandon; Jeff Huettl (fiancee Tami Hall), Little Chute; and his greatest joy, his grandchildren: Elizabeth (The Lizard), Anthony (Tony The Tiger), Justin (Justers), Katie (Katie Bug), Amanda (Manders), Dalton (The Big Kahuna), and Mikayla Marie (M&M). He is also survived by his brothers, Gerald (Edie) Huettl, Wabeno; Jim Huettl, Rhinelander; David (Sue) Huettl, Appleton; Ron (Karen) Huettl, Wisconsin Rapids; and Mark Huettl, Appleton. He is further survived by his nieces, nephews, many friends and his faithful little four-legged friend, Trooper. He was preceded in death by his sister Dona (Huettl) Welte. Memorial Services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 12, 2001, at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, TRI-COUNTY CHAPEL, Menasha. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in his name.
