Kyong Cha “Peppi” Walton of Combined Locks passed away Sunday, March 3, 2024, with her family by her side. Peppi was born May 30, 1940, in Seoul, South Korea, and came to the United States in 1967, leaving behind siblings who visited her here in America and looked forward to their visits to Korea.
Peppi is survived by her husband: Kenneth M. Walton; her daughter: Cheryl (Jim) White of Kimberly and grandchildren Adam White (Lindsey), Tiffany (Mike) Thielke and their children Grayson and Westlee and Matthew White (Steph). Also surviving are Ken’s daughters: Michelle (Don) Bachaus of Appleton, Stacy (Tim) Eirman or Oshkosh, and Jennifer (Chris) Panning of Hamburg, Minnesota.
Peppi’s passions throughout life were rooted in music and food. One of her earliest loves was music, specifically Korean Opera. She passed this love on to Cheryl and her son Adam. Peppi shared her talent for cooking with family and friends by sharing her recipe for Kimchi and her hand made egg rolls. She was well known for bringing hundreds of egg rolls to her businesses and sharing the with everyone. Peppi was the owner of Old Inn Supper Club on Newberry Street and was a founding member and owner of Eagle Links Golf Course in Kaukauna.
The funeral service for Peppi will be held at 6:00 PM on Monday, March 11, 2024, at Jansen Fargo Funeral Home, located at 204 E. Kimberly Avenue. Visitation will take place on Monday afternoon from 4:00 PM until the time of the service. She will be buried in a private ceremony at St. Paul Catholic Cemetery in Combined Locks.
The family would like to thank everyone at ThedaCare Hospice, Cherry Meadows, and Copper Stone Staff. You were all such caring angels, and we will always be grateful for all you have done. Thanks also to the other individuals who are too many to name, who were instrumental in comforting Peppi in her final days. We will never forget your kindness.
