Kira Smith was born on August 18, 1995 in Green Bay, WI to Tara Smith. She graduated from Southwest High School and was attending UWGB while working at the Melting Pot.
She was a competitive gymnast until her height caught up to her. She then switched to performing in musicals and show choir. If you came home unexpectedly, you would most likely be welcomed by her beautiful voice ringing through the house.
Her desire to learn and her curiosity about innumerable topics expanded and strengthened Kira’s beliefs, which made for interesting discussions. “Learning never exhausts the mind,” as Leonardo da Vinci said.
Kira was very original and unique, and forged her own path. She had a presence and strength that is hard to define. She was able to make you want to hear what she had to say.
For five months, Kira battled cancer, taking everything in stride and showing such complete control that it inspired awe. She fought hard and never gave up. Finally, Kira lost her battle on November 4, 2021. She passed away peacefully with family at her side.
Kira is survived by her mother Tara, grandmother Joan, aunt Carmen, and grandfather Don. She is further survived by many other family and friends.
A Funeral Service will be held for Kira at 1 PM on Friday, November 19, 2021 at Wichmann Funeral Home, Tri-County Chapel, 1592 Oneida St., Menasha, WI. Family and friends may visit following the service from 1:45 – 4 PM.
