DIETERICH, KIMBERLY S.
Kimberly Dieterich, of Appleton, age 18, died unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, August 14, 2007. She was born May 24, 1989 in Green Bay, the daughter of Douglas and Tina (Mongin) Dieterich. Kim graduated from Appleton North High School Class of 2007 and was on the Swim Team, Link Crew, Math Club, National Honor Society. She received the Golden Tassel Award and lettered in swimming and academics. Kim was enrolled in the pharmacy program at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. She was a life guard and swim instructor at the Neenah-Menasha YMCA. Kim was a YMCA camp participant, Girl Scout member and active member and volunteer at First United Methodist Church. Kim’s faith was very evident by her activities and relationships with others. She enjoyed music, swimming and was always ready to volunteer when someone needed help.
Kim is survived by her parents, Douglas and Tina Dieterich; brother: Michael Dieterich; grandparents: David (Nancy) Dieterich, Surprise, Arizona and Jeanette Mongin, DePere; uncles and aunt: David (Karen) Dieterich, Scottsdale, Arizona and their children Kelsey and Matthew; Jeff (Kathleen White) Mongin, Kingman, Arizona and Kris (Mark) Kyles, Green Bay and their children Karen Kyles and Jennifer Van Deuren; great cousins: Karyssa and Micaela Van Deuren and great uncle: Donald (Barbara) Dieterich, Akron, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Fran Mongin and Patsy Dieterich and cousin: Jon Van Deuren.
The funeral service for Kim will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, August 17, 2007 at FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 325 E. Franklin Street, Appleton with Rev. Doyle Blanton officiating. Private burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday (TODAY) at Wichmann Funeral Home from 4:00 – 8:00 pm and again on Friday at the church from 10:00 am until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Kim’s name.
She will be greatly missed by her mother, father, brother, other relatives and her multitude of friends.
