On December 11, Kim Marie Worsch (Martzahl) left this life to join her mother in heaven surrounded by her family that was there throughout the week at Aurora Baycare Hospital. Kim was born in Kaukauna to her adoring parents, Sandra (Skalmusky) and Paul Martzahl on September 21, 1962. Kim attended Kaukauana high school where she met Ted Siebers who married in 1984. They brought into the world two children, Dana and Stephen. Kim often said that they were the best two things in their life. She made sure she always showed them how much they meant to her. Kim and Ted remained friends through the rest of their life, but their marriage was not meant to be. Kim married Darin Worsch in 1997. She shared the remainder of her life with him and their beloved dogs.
Kim loved to keep busy doing anything outdoors in the Summer from painting, yard projects, bird watching, and most of all, taking in the beauty of her flower garden. Later she helped her kids make their yards the prettiest they could be. In the Winter, she enjoyed sipping coffee or hot tea and decorating her home for the holidays. She loved watching the new snow fall from the warmth of her home and cuddling up to watch Christmas movies. Kim spent every day with at least one of her family members, including her brothers, sister, and father. Kim’s favorite part of life was sharing food, laughter, and love with her family. Over the past two years, she adored her new grandson and found any reason to gush over him daily. Especially over the past six months, Kim enjoyed her life to the fullest.
Kim is survived by her husband, Darin; her children, Dana (Jill) and Stephen; her grandson, Reid; her father, Paul; her siblings, Paula (Randy), Bill, and Jason (Tina); her dog, Piper; her nieces and nephew, Willie, Chris (Kendra), Sarah (Mitch), Griffin, and Liberty; as well as many other extended relatives and dear friends.
Kim is preceded in death by her mother, Sandra.
A memorial visitation will be held Wednesday, December 21 from 11 AM – 2 PM at Fargo Funeral Home, 400 W. Wisconsin Ave, Kaukauna, WI with a sharing of memories following at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please make a donation to the American Cancer Society in Kim’s honor.
The family would like to send a special thanks to the oncology department and nursing staff at Aurora Baycare Medical Center and the Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic, especially Dr. Gautam, for all of their care and compassion they showed to Kim.
