KEANE, KEVIN

Kevin Keane, age 22, of Appleton, died on Friday, May 18, 2007, as the result of an automobile accident in the Town of Osborne, Outagamie County. Kevin was born on March 12, 1985, in Stevens Point, to Mike and Terri (Duren) Keane. He was a 2003 graduate of Appleton North High School and was currently a senior at the University of Minnesota-TC. Kevin was a four-year member of the Alpine Ski Racing Team at UM-TC, enjoyed singing and playing the piano and guitar; was very active in all sports and enjoyed the outdoors, especially camping and hiking. Kevin is survived by his parents, Mike and Terri Keane; his brothers, Brian Keane, Appleton; Colin Keane, Minneapolis; and Darren Keane, Appleton; his “sister” Alejandra; and his special love, Lydia Greis. He is further survived by his maternal grandmother, Arlene Duren, Madison; his maternal grandfather, Sandy Duren, Spring Green; and his paternal grandfather, Keith Keane; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Kevin was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Betty Keane. The Funeral Liturgy will be at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, May 25, 2007, at ST. PIUS X CATHOLIC CHURCH, 500 West Marquette Street, Appleton, with Fr. Tom Farrell officiating. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home, Appleton, on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and again directly at the church on Friday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to create a scholarship in Kevin’s name.
