Ken G. DeBruin, age 70, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2022, with his family by his side at Thedacare Regional Medical Center in Appleton. Ken was born on February 16, 1952, son of the late Marvin and Jean (Young) DeBruin. Ken enjoyed a long career working in sales and operations for Waste Management.
Ken loved fishing with his two fishing buddies Jim and Tom and spending time with his two grandsons. He also volunteered at several nonprofit organizations throughout the Fox Valley. Ken will always be remembered for his passion for life and his love for his family especially his two grandsons, Max and Charlie.
Ken is survived by his wife: Paula (Jansen) DeBruin; daughter: Ali (Patrick) Ambroso; and grandsons: Max and Charlie. He is further survived by his siblings: Sue (special friend Vern) Verkuilen, Karen (Jeff) Lambie, Greg (Jeannie) DeBruin, Bob (Stella) DeBruin, Colleen Peterson, Joe DeBruin, Gary DeBruin, and Dan DeBruin; in-laws: Mary (Ron) Nieling, Jim Jansen, Nancy (Paul) Bartelt, Leslie Jansen, and Tina (Mike) Horn; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Ken was preceded in death by his father: Marvin DeBruin; mother: Jean DeBruin; step father: Jake Biertzer; sister: Mary DeBruin; nephew: Eric DeBruin; and sister-in-law: Wendy DeBruin.
A celebration of Ken’s life will be held on May 21, 2022, at High Cliff Golf Course (W5095 Golf Course Rd, Sherwood, WI 54169) from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm.
