Katie May (Salm) Notino

Katie M. Notino, 41, passed away as a result of an unfortunate accident on March 16, 2024. She was born on January 11, 1983, in Appleton, the daughter of Kenneth and Sue (Gatz) Salm. Katie graduated from Appleton North High School, the Class of 2001. She enjoyed reading, especially true crime novels; shopping; and assisting with caring for her parents. Katie was passionate about animals, especially dogs and cats.

Katie is survived by her parents; a sister: Erin (Rob) Goad; an estranged brother: Brian Salm; 3 nieces and a nephew: Delaney and Mackenzie Goad, and Damon and Kelsi Salm; 3 uncles: Richard Van Heuklon, Robert (Kathy) Salm, and Donald (Gayle) Salm; other relatives and friends.

Katie was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents, and 2 aunts, Mary “Tick” Van Heuklon and Jean Salm.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at the Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 N. Superior St., Appleton. Visitation will be on Tuesday at the funeral home from 9:00 am until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are appreciated to NAMI Fox Valley.
