Kathy Ann Noack, age 61, passed away Saturday, March 1st, 2014 at home surrounded by her family.
She was born January 17, 1953 in Appleton; the daughter of the late Harold and Henrietta (Fritzie) McGinnis. She married Terry Noack on February 15, 1973 and resided in Appleton.
Kathy worked at their business, Avenue Auto Service, with her husband for 26 ½ years prior to retiring. After retiring she became a valuable volunteer at St. Mary Catholic Church in Appleton. She liked playing piano at home and church where she was also the director of the Emmanuel Choir for over a decade. Recently she volunteered at church every Wednesday morning printing the weekly bulletins. Kathy will be remembered for her love of reading, playing Cribbage, Soduko puzzles, Scrabble, and baking chocolate chip cookies for her brothers to continue the tradition from her mother.
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church all of her life, where she has participated on many committees.
Kathy is survived by her loving family, husband Terry Noack, Appleton; daughter Jessica (Eric) Kubalek, Oshkosh; Jeremy Noack (and special friend Kristi), Appleton; granddaughters Madison and Taylor Kubalek; brother John (Maribeth) McGinnis, Estero, FL; sister Mary Wilson, Appleton; and brother Pat McGinnis, Appleton. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters-in-laws: Larry Noack, Sherry Nymoen, Jerry (Jane) Noack, Mary (Chuck) Kruckeberg, Carey Mackesy, Laury (Marty) Grow, Cory (Mike) Keeney, Dory Romenesko, Maury (Mark) Stutz. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; in-laws, Harry and Marion Noack; brothers-in law, Terry Nymoen and Jamie Mackesy; and niece Jennifer Noack.
The funeral service for Kathy will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, March 6, 2014, at ST. MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 312 S. State St. Appleton. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Friends and family will be received at the church Thursday morning from 8:30 am until the hour of the service. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established for music at St. Mary Parish.
The family would like to thank the nurses, staff, and doctors at St. Elizabeth Hospital—particularly Dr. Goggins and the staff at the Oncology Department. “A mother holds her children's hands for a moment but their hearts forever, and the memories of her beautiful life will remain with them always.”
