Age 92, formerly of Appleton, passed away Saturday, February 10, 2007, in Madison.
Kathleen was born January 17, 1915, In Gillette, to Frank and Mary (Finnegan) Schwalbach. On July 4, 1936, she married Joseph Patenaude who preceded her in death in 1987. The Patenaude’s were parishioners at St. Mary Catholic Church, Appleton, and Kathleen was employed with the Balliet Insurance Agency for many years until retirement.
Kathleen is survived by her sisters, Patricia Reynolds, Cleveland, Ohio, and Barbara (Dan) Forbes, Manitowoc; brothers, Joe (Marie) Schwalbach, LaJolla, Calif., and Jack (Sue) Schwalbach, Seattle, Wash; and eight children, Pat (Fred) Saatkamp, Sheboygan, Tom (Millie) Patenaude, Minocqua, Jim (Aggie) Patenaude, Arena, Paul Patenaude (partner, Peter), Madison, Dan (Jeanne) Patenaude, Dodgeville, Steve Patenaude, Appleton, Jerry (Jen) Patenaude, Avoca, and Phil (Jean) Patenaude, Weyauwega. Kathleen is also survived by a daughter-in-law, Jean Patenaude, Plymouth; and there are 23 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her daughters Joanne and Kati; a son, William; a brother, Francis; a sister, Rosemary; best friend and cousin, Mary Kwas; and a daughter-in-law, Mary.
A Memorial Mass for Kathleen will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 10, 2007, at ST. MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 312 South State Street, with Father Michael O’Rourke as celebrant. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. Saturday until the time of mass at St. Mary’s.
