Age 71, died Tuesday evening, September 24, 2002, following a six month illness. She was born March 19, 1931, to the late Harry and Lillian (Madden) Barkholtz, Sr., in Brooklyn, New York and had been an Appleton resident most of her life. Kay had been employed by Appleton Medical Center and Franciscan Care and Rehabilitation Center as an L. P. N. until her retirement in 1976. She enjoyed gambling, traveling in her motor home and spending time with her family. Kay was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Survivors include her husband, Joseph G. Mock, Sr. to whom she had been married for 37 years; three children and their spouses, Robert and Susan Byrns, Appleton; Sandra and David Feld, Appleton; Colleen and Mark Hansmann, Menasha; 12 grandchildren, Erin (Jerry) Ziegert, Haley Byrns, Amanda and Kristina Falk, Timothy, Emily, and Katie Feld, Melissa, Brian, Trevor, Amy and Anna Hansmann; one great granddaughter, Alexandria Ziegert; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Harry and Joan Barkholtz, Jr., Menasha; Roy Barkholtz, Menasha; and a sister-in-law, Joan Barkholtz, Larson. She was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Barkholtz. Funeral services for Kathleen will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, September 28, 2002, at ZION LUTHERAN CHURCH, 912 North Oneida Street, with Reverend Larry Matthews officiating. Friends may call at the church on Saturday, from 9:00 am, until the time of the service. A memorial fund is being established.
