Kathleen D. Hegner, age 61, went home to the Lord on Wednesday, September 3, 2014. She was born on May 23, 1953, to the late Arthur, and Audrey Hamilton. Kathy graduated from Turner High School in Beloit, and currently resided in Grand Chute. She had worked for many years at Lasersave with Don Burich in Appleton. Kathy married Robert Hegner on June 4, 1977, in Janesville, and they spent 37 happy years together.
She was always a very active person, and she was a member at Calvary Bible Church, Nickel A Model A Club, Curves, Weight Watchers, and the Fox Valley Brain Tumor Coalition. She greatly enjoyed going on tours with the Nickel A Model A Club, and spending time with her friends, and family. Kathy also loved traveling around, and visiting all kinds of shops along the way. She always had a great sense of humor, an outgoing personality, and was a joy to be around. Even while Kathy was battling her illness, she remained strong, optimistic, and positive. Kathy was loved dearly by her friends, and family, and she'll be greatly missed.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Hegner; children, Tina (Robin Hemiller) Sweeney, and Michael Hegner; grandchildren, Brandon, Brittani, and Callie; siblings, Robert (June) Hamilton, Leslie (Mi Young) Hamilton, Marilyn Baughman, Christine Hamilton, Janis Hamilton, and many nieces, and nephews.
