KARL H. PETERS SR.
Shiocton
Age 69, passed away Friday June 29, 2001 from complications due to a lingering illness. He was born January 28, 1932 to the late George K. and Henny Peters in West Chicago, IL. Karl was owner operator of Karl H. Peters Poultry and Pheasantry for 43 years until his illness forced his retirement in December of 1997. Karl married the former Mary L. Simon on May 12, 1956 at First Lutheran Church in Shiocton. He enjoyed golf and was a charter member of Grandview Golf Course. Karl especially enjoyed his long drives, his famous short cuts, Sunday outings, dinners and fun with his friends and time spent in Mountain and Tomahawk. He loved his family and all the precious time he spent with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; four children, Karl H. (Debbie) Peters Jr. Menasha, Susan Eisch, Menasha, Sharon Reader, Appleton, Louise Laeyendecker, Butte Des Morts; six grandchildren, Jared & Cole, Amanda, Jesse, Adam, and Matthew. He is further survived by his brothers George A. (Betty) Peters of Shiocton and Richard H. (Carol) Peters of New London; his sister Mary Aegler of Mountain Home, AR; his stepbrother Dean (Teresa) Braun of Florida and many nieces, nephews, and close friends.
He was preceded in death by his granddaughter Gina Laeyendecker, his brother, Ben (Erna) Peters and stepmother Lila Peters.
A Memorial Service will be 1:00 PM, Monday July 2, 2001 at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, 537 North Superior Street, Appleton. Friends will be received at the FUNERAL HOME on Monday from 9:00 AM until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established in Karl’s name.
The family would like to thank Dr. Paul Nausieda, Dr. Leo and the staff at the Regional Parkinson Center in Milwaukee for all the wonderful care and concern they gave to Karl and his family.
