Karen Jean Williams, age 72, died peacefully at ThedaCare Neenah following a brief illness. Karen was born on July 17, 1951, to John and Dorothy (Corey) Williams in Neenah and grew up in Menasha St Mary’s throughout her senior year. Following high school, she met David Driessen and the couple had two children. She went on to raise her children in the Neenah area.
Karen worked at Superior Drapery service for many years and was a gifted seamstress, often making clothing for her children, altering her own clothing and making curtains and other textile gifts for family and friends. She was affectionately known as “everyone’s’ mom, loved playing cards, and over the years had many kitties sharing her household.
Karen is survived by her loving children Michael and Karri Driessen; her brother Tom Williams and sister Peggy Gambsky. She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Andie Wendt, brother Gary Williams and other family and friends.
A memorial service for Karen will be held Saturday November 11, 2023, at 11:00am at Wichmann Funeral Home-Laemmrich Chapel, 213 Milwaukee Street, Menasha. Friends and family may gather at the funeral home from 9:00am until the start of the service.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established.
