Karen Severt Anderson

Age 58, passed away Saturday, June 18, 2005 at Oakridge Gardens Care Center. Karen was born in Marshfield on August 26, 1946, daughter of the late Melvin and Eleanor (Spatz) Severt. She was a graduate of Marshfield Columbus High School, and for many years worked at the family-owned Severt’s Fine Food in Marshfield. On August 9, 1970, she married Lewis Anderson, and in 1979 the family decided to relocate to the Fox Valley. At that time, Karen also began working as a nursing aid in the area. She worked at various nursing homes over the years, and most recently was employed by Peabody Manor. Karen’s most treasured times were those spent with family and friends. She will be forever loved and missed deeply by her son: Lewis (Michelle) Anderson of Menasha; three grandchildren: Lisa (John) Smith, Cindy Frank, and Neil Frank; two great-grandchildren: Olivia and Montana Smith; seven brothers and sisters: Bill (Betty) Severt of Hewitt; LeAnn (Ralph) Fitzgerald of Spencer; Melvin (Kay) Severt of Marshfield; Linda Kundinger of Marshfield; Fred (Jana) Severt of Marshfield; Paul (Tracy) Severt of Marshfield; and Pete Severt of Marshfield and his companion Dawn; as well as by countless nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lewis in 1999, a daughter and son-in-law Ellie and Mike Frank in 2005, and a brother-in-law John Kundinger.

A memorial funeral liturgy for Karen will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 23, 2005 at ST. PIUS X CATHOLIC CHURCH, 500 W. Marquette Street in Appleton with Fr. Brian Belongia officiating. Inurnment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Neenah. The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home, and again Thursday at the church from 10:00 AM until the hour of the service.
