Karen J. Selig, passed away on February 12, 2024, at the age of 90. She was born on October 27, 1933, in Elderon, Wisconsin to Alfred and Laura (Malueg) Foth.
Karen attended Appleton High School and Lawrence University. She was a dedicated and hardworking individual who spent the majority of her career working at Voith Fabrics in quality control from 1963 until her retirement in 1996.
In 1952, Karen married the love of her life, Gene Selig. Their marriage was built on a foundation of mutual respect, love, and unwavering support for one another. Karen found great joy in playing Bingo and cherished the connections she made with fellow players. Her enthusiasm for the game brought laughter and camaraderie to her life. Family was of great importance to Karen, and she valued every moment spent with loved ones.
Karen is survived by her children Richard Selig, Diane (Tom) Winkler, Laurie (James) Nabbefeld, and Kevin Selig; grandchildren Chris Selig, Jamie (Dan) Berken, Tommy (Wendy) Winkler, Tyler (Heather) Winkler, Ryan (Shannon) Barten, Eric Nabbefeld, Jenny (Antonio) Rubio, Kayla Boehlen, Alyssa (Jacob) Jordan, Jarod Selig; and twenty great-grandchildren, her brother Duane (Jan) Foth, and sister Marlene Pagel and her sister-in-law Margaret Foth and Shalby Foth.
Karen is preceded in death by her beloved husband Gene Selig, son Bruce Selig, by her parents, brothers Daemon, Darrel, and David Foth, sister Bonnie Katers and brothers-in-law Richard Pagel and Richard Katers.
A visitation for Karen will take place at Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 N Superior St, Appleton, WI 54911, on February 27th, 2024 from 10:00 am until the time of her memorial service at 11:00 am.
