Karen Burghardt (Brandt), born on June 11, 1965, of Shawano, WI, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2024. She was a cherished daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, known for her warmth and infectious laughter.

Karen had two children, Robert (Michelle) Burghardt and Christy (Tim) Tom. Her love extended to her grandchildren, Tobias and Allison, who brought her great joy and loved to help her with her many projects.

A devoted pet lover, Karen shared her life with several furry companions, including her dear dogs Rudy and Tator, as well as her cats Kyle, Jackson. Of course you cannot forget her dearly departed dog, Charlie. Her passion for bargain hunting and rummage sales often led to exciting finds that she loved to share with friends and family, reflecting her generous spirit.

For over 20 years, Karen dedicated herself to her career at Transcontinental, navigating numerous changes in ownership while leaving a lasting impression on her colleagues. Outside of work, she enjoyed nurturing her love of bargain hunting and refurbishing thrifted items to sell at the flea market.

Karen is survived by her mother, Amy Brandt; her son Robert and daughter Christy; her siblings, Sheri Krause, Tom Brandt, and Tim Brandt; and her best friend, Bill Burghardt. She was proceeded in death by her father, Jerry.

Everyone who knew Karen would agree that she fully embraced and resembled the name Karen and we loved every bit of it. Her legacy will live on through the laughter she shared and the treasures she gifted to those around her. She will be remembered fondly and missed deeply.

There will be celebration of life on Monday November 25 from 11-5 at Lucky Dogz Banquet Hall, 157 S Green Bay Rd, Neenah WI, 54956. The family invites everyone who knew and loved Karen to share stories and laughter.
