Karen Ann Smith

Age 57, passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2001 at Appleton Medical Center following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on September 22, 1943 in Appleton to Clarence and Elaine (Van Vreede) Yunk. On September 7, 1963 she married Robert Smith in Kimberly. She was very fond of quilting, spending time at their cottage on Berry Lake, and loved her family very much.
She is survived by her husband Robert of Appleton, her sons Craig Smith of Appleton and Jason (Erin) Smith of Milwaukee, her mother Elaine Yunk of Kimberly, her sister Debbie (Keith) Weyers of Kimberly, her brothers Clarence Yunk of Menasha, Gary Yunk of Alladin, Wyoming, Dennis Yunk of Palmer, Michigan, Tom (Cindee) Yunk of Shiocton, and Rick (Jean) Yunk of Kimberly; her Aunt Ruth Casper of Kimberly, and her Uncle Gene (Katie) Van Vreede of White Lake, Wisconsin. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial services will be conducted on Tuesday, June 19, 2001 at 1:00 PM at Wichmann Tri-County Chapel with Rev. David Schmidt officiating. Friends may call at the Wichmann Tri-County Chapel on Monday TODAY from 4-8 PM and on Tuesday from 12:00 noon until the time of the services. A memorial fund is being established.
The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to all of her dear friends for the support they showed throughout her illness and her life.
