Justin Jacob Kesler rode into his final sunset on February 18, 2023.
He was born on July 18, 1983 to Connie and Duane. Although his 39 years will never be enough, Justin lived those years to the fullest. His zest for life has left an irreplaceable void in the hearts of those who loved him. He will be remembered for his thoughtfulness, loyalty, sense of humor, and work ethic. Having Justin in your life meant you’d always have a helping hand when in need. Assisting friends and family with projects brought Justin great joy, especially if it involved working on cars in his garage with Y100 playing in the background.
When he wasn’t helping others, he filled his days with many activities throughout the year. During motorcycle season, he participated in several charity rides and loved to admire the natural beauty of Wisconsin from the open road. He enjoyed spending time up north, often fishing for a bit and discussing his ongoing plans to improve the cabin. Wintertime meant snowmobiling, attending Pickerel’s “Jump In Weekend”, and shooting in a trap league (always trying to be #1 gun on the team).
But for all of his interests and passions, nothing was more important than his role as a father. His daughter, Aubrey, was the center of his universe; he beamed with pride whenever he talked about her. He loved to share stories of their adventures and the everyday moments like “sushi date night” or the “A” she got on her weekly spelling test. Their time together included many intense games of Jenga and origami folding marathons.
Justin’s family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Officer Cole Kantner along with the staff at St. Elizabeth Hospital. These caring individuals gave Justin a fighting chance and provided the opportunity for friends and family to surround him with love.
Justin will be sincerely missed by so many people. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his father, Duane Irvin Kesler. He is survived by his daughter Aubrey and her mother Becky, his mother Connie Larsen, his older brother Adam Kesler and his girlfriend Michelle and their daughter Amelia as well as his younger brother Luke Larsen and his wife Angela and their daughter Nora. His legacy will live on through the telling of fond memories and sharing laughs amongst his numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
The family would like to invite everyone to a Memorial Gathering for Justin from 4-8 pm on Friday, March 17, 2023 at the South Greenville Grange Hall, W6920 Cty. Rd. BB, Appleton, WI 54914. A Celebration of Justin's Life (a time for guests to share stories of Justin) will take place from 6:00-6:45 PM. Snacks and beverages will be served in the lower hall. Casual dress is encouraged, especially if you have a Harley-Davidson t-shirt since that was Justin’s standard outfit.
