MOEDE, JULIA H.

Julia H. Moede, age 86, of Appleton, died at Care Partners, Little Chute, on Saturday, January 13, 2007. Julia was born on February 14, 1920, to the late Adam and Catherine (Nobazna) Pokrywka. She married Gerald Moede on October 16, 1954, in Appleton; he preceded her in death on January 19, 1994. Julia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Her life’s focus was her family. Survivors include her son, William (Lisa) Moede, and her daughter, Linda (Rick) Hidde; and Troy (Rhonda) Schuh, and their daughter Samantha, who she thought of as her own family; her five grandchildren, Brooklyn, Christa, Whitney, Jordan and Brian—who were the love of her life. She is further survived by her sisters, Terry Fields; Jo Ratzman; Dorrie Penkala; Katie Wallenfang, and her brother Stanley Kaczmarek. Julia was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Anna Powloski; , Stella Paitel, Mike Kaczmarek, Andy Kaczmarek, Peter Kaczmarek, Frank Kaczmarek, Joseph Pokrywka, Mary Carrol, Angeline Roddwell, and John Pokrywka. The Funeral Liturgy will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 16, 2007, at ST. MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 312 South State Street, Appleton, with Fr. Michael K. O’Rourke officiating. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home on Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and again directly at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. We are forever grateful for the love and care Mom received at Care Partners in Little Chute. Everyone there grew to love her for the gentle spirit she was. They preserved her dignity in her last days, always showing her respect. She was truly at home there. We will always remember the staff, who are angels in our eyes.
