Judy Heegeman, 73, loving and devoted wife and mother, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, Jan 28, 2004. She passed away at her home surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with leukemia. She was born Jan. 31, 1930, in Hortonville WI to the late Ralph and Bertha Odegard.
Judy earned her Diploma in Nursing from Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago, IL. Judy enjoyed her work in obstetrics and emergency room care. Judy was very active in the Catholic Church as well as a Board Member of various school systems. She was an avid reader and loved spending time playing scrabble with her friends. Her greatest joy was spending time with her large and close family.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband Steve; sister
Anita Beavers, brothers Phil and Dick Odegard; seven children, Tom Stevens, Mike Stevens, Susan McPhail, Patty Kmecheck, Cathy Thetreau, Linda Bloszies and David Heegeman; fifteen grandchildren and one great grandson.
Visitation will be held Saturday, January 31, 2004 from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Appleton, WI.
