Age 53, died on Sunday, July 28, 2002 at her home. Judith was born on April 30, 1949, daughter of the late Howard and Mabel (Huss) Verbeten. She loved to spend time with her grandson Alex. Judith also enjoyed dancing and listening to music; especially Alabama, Kenny Rodgers and the Beach Boys. She is survived by her children, Amy (Christopher) Croatt; Mari Young; Michael Young; her sister, Patricia (Roger) Bowers, Sr.; her brothers, James (Leta) and Daniel (Margie) Verbeten; her grandson, Alex Croatt; her sister-in-law, Rosella Verbeten; and her former spouse, Gary Young. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Judith was preceded in death by her grandparents, John (Julia) Verbeten and Michael (Mary) Huss. The Funeral Mass will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31, 2002, at ST. JOSEPH CATHOLIC CHURCH, 410 West Lawrence Street, Appleton, with Rev. Ken Reinhart, OFM Cap. officiating. The entombment will be held at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. Friends will be received at the church on Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service. Judith was a loving, caring woman who always had a smile on her face. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.
