Judith M. Koch, age 67, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 2, 2007, at her home with her loving husband at her side, after a very long and courageous battle with cancer. Judy was born June 28, 1940 in Kaukauna, the daughter of Paul Casey and Helen (Baeten-Casey) Theiesen. She married Jim R. Koch on February 14, 1998. Judy worked at various jobs, most recently at Goss Auto Body for 24 years until her retirement in May 2007. She was a wiz with numbers and loved shopping with her sisters. Judy was often teased by family and friends how meticulously clean she kept her home and she took great pride in manicuring the yard. She also loved collecting Precious Moments. Judy is survived by her loving husband, Jim, Menasha; her sons, Dan (Patti) Parker, Menasha; Tim (Sandra) Parker, Appleton; grandchildren, Ashley, Justin and Kayla Parker, Camille and Casey Parker; step-grandchildren, Mike (Marcia) Selle, Doug (Leanne) Selle, Lisa (Jason) Stachowicz; six step-great grandchildren; sisters, Jane (Carl) Schmidt and Sandi (Steve) La Duke. Judy is further survived by nieces, nephews and many wonderful and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her two sons, Steven and David, her mother, Helen Thiesen, her father, Paul Casey, her stepfather, Frank Thiesen, her grandson, Jameson Parker, her sister, Pat Rabideau and her niece, Deb Rabideau. Funeral service for Judy will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, December 6, 2007, at the funeral home, with Chaplain Lenore Domers officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4 – 8 pm and on Thursday from 10:00 am until the time of the service. A memorial fund has been established in Judy’s name in lieu of flowers.
Judy was a loving, caring, compassionate and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and will be greatly missed. So many people feel blessed to have known her. She fought this battle so hard and she was an inspiration to all of us. Heaven needed a new angel and God chose one of the best.
The family would like to say thank you to Dr. William Guenther and Marlene at the Martha Siekman Cancer Center. Also a thank you to Affinity Hospice and Home Instead Senior Care, for their excellent care. Thanks to all of Judy’s friends for their support, visits and love they gave her. A special thank you to Tim and Ronnie Goss of Goss Auto Body for being exceptional employers to Judy during her years of service.
