Judith A. Simon, 75, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 6, 2018, at Oakridge Gardens, Menasha. She was born on November 18, 1942, in Neenah, the daughter of Clarence and Dorothy (Delfosse) Kaufert. Judy enjoyed fishing, bowling, puzzles, camping at Pineland Park, playing cards especially cribbage, and coaching. She helped to start the Fox Valley’s first softball league at Palisades Park, Menasha. Judith was employed for over 20 years with Pierce Manufacturing Co. She loved to go to Frank’s Pizza and Sammy’s Pizza, and have an occasional old fashioned or gimlet. Judy will be remembered most for her great sense of humor. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Parish, Menasha.
Judith is survived by her children: Charles Simon, Jodie (Jim) Sonnentag, Corey (Melanie) Simon; Jamie (Greg) Busha; 6 grandchildren: Samantha (Nick) Schwartzbauer, Zachary (fiancé Ruwani Goonetilleke) Sonnentag, Summer and Jackson Busha, Alexandra and Chase Simon; 2 great granddaughters: Ava and Greta; 3 siblings: Ken (Judy) Kaufert, David Kaufert, and Nancy (Vern) Court; a god son: Roger (Katy) Court; best friends: Carol and Dick Nelson; many other relatives and friends.
Judith was preceded in death by her parents, and 3 brothers: Michael, Robert, and Richard Kaufert.
Memorial services will be held at 12:00 Noon, on Saturday, May 19, 2018, at the Wichmann Funeral Home, Laemmrich Chapel, 312 Milwuakee St., Menasha, with Deacon Don Schultz officiating. Inurnment will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Menasha. Visitation will be on Saturday at the chapel from 10:00 am until the time of the service. A memorial is being established.
