Lippold, Joyce L.

Age 72, of Appleton, passed away Sunday, January 9, 2005, at the Appleton Medical Center. Joyce was born March 9, 1932, in New London, the daughter of the late Frank and Velda (Sommer) Wallenfang.

Joyce was raised in Dale and attended schools there, and graduated from New London High School. She married her high school sweetheart, Kenneth A. Lippold on April 19, 1953, in Dale. He preceded her in death in 1994.
Joyce was a homemaker of unmatched quality, she was a loving mom and a good person to know. She enjoyed the arts, theater, was very musically inclined, loved traveling, animals, and was a wonderful cook.
She was a past member of the Kiwanis Club, the American Legion Auxiliary, and for many years was an active church member at Trinity Lutheran Church ELCA in Appleton.

Survivors include her sons, Ken (Cindy) Lippold and their children, Hailey Rose and Molly Marie, of Milwaukee, and Tony (Gelsy) Lippold and their son, Samuel Henry, of Hubertus; a brother, Nolan (Letty) Wallenfang, of Green Lake; and special friends, Michelle and Brian Hess, Barbara Haas, Dorothy, Pearl, and Bud, and many others too numerous to mention. She was preceded in death by a sister, Priscilla, and two brothers, Jerome and Clyde.

Funeral services for Joyce will be at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, Jan. 13, 2005, at TRINITY LUTHERAN CHURCH ELCA, 209 South Allen Street, Appleton, with Revs. Kurt and Mary Beth Kovanen officiating.
Interment will be in the Floral Hill Cemetery, New London. Friends may call from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 North Superior Street, and again from 10:00 A.M. Thursday until the time of services at the church. There will be a prayer service at 7:45 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials in Joyce’s name may be sent to the Trinity Lutheran Church ELCA
