Age 73, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, March 20, 2007 at St. Elizabeth Hospital due to complications from Leukemia. Joyce was born on December 19, 1933 in Clear Creek, Wisconsin to the late Erwin and Viola Dutter. During her childhood her family moved to Menasha where she graduated from Menasha High School. Joyce married Orvis Erdmann on August 1, 1954. They had two children: Deanna and Dennis. Orvis preceded her in death on October 25, 1972. Joyce met and married Donald G. Pack on November 23, 1979. She gained two daughters and a son: Laura, Julie, and David. Donald preceded Joyce in death on July 13, 2006.Joyce was an employee for James River for 29 years. She was a very active member at St. Timothy Lutheran Church.
Joyce was always full of energy. She was very Christian. She always had something good to say about everyone. She had many interests, if she wasn't on her laptop making spreadsheets, she would be listening to her Ipod. You may have seen her around town on her blue scooter. She always tried to attend her grandchildren's sporting events and school activities.
She will be sadly missed by her family: Daughter, Deanna Hummel; Son, Dennis (Betsy) Erdmann; Step-children: Laura (special friend Steve) Olson, Julie (Bob) Babbits, and David Pack. Her grandchildren: Tricia (Ben) DeGroot, Scott (special friend Mary) Olson, Eric Olson, Kyle Olson, Michael and Steven Babbits, Hayley, Sydney, and Isaac Erdmann. She is further survived by her sister, Barbara (Ralph) Tellock, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and her loving husbands, she was preceded in death by her sister, Joanne Thoma.
Funeral services for Joyce will be held on Friday, March 23, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Timothy Lutheran Church (473 7th Street, Menasha) with Reverend David Skarsten officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, March 22, 2007 from 5 until 8 P.M. and again on Friday, from 10 A.M. until the time of the service directly at church. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
