March 6, 2019 after 93 years of gracious living, Joyce Bernice (Wilson) Stevens drew her final breath on earth and her first breath in Heaven. She was greeted by her Savior, Jesus and a cloud of witnesses including her parents, Earl and Florence Wilson, her husband, Jim and son, Tom, brothers Gordon and Billy, sisters Vivian and Donna.
She is survived by six of her seven children, Nancy (Victor) Simon, Kathy (Clifford) VanElzen, Jim (Debbie) Stevens, Bob (Kathy) Stevens, Tom Stevens (deceased), Sandy (Phil) Schaffer and Betsy (Derek) Olson and her sister and friend, Joann (John) Zimmerman.
Joyce committed her life to serving her LORD and Savior, Jesus Christ by the faithful, unconditional love and respect she displayed to her husband, Jim. She delighted in raising her seven children. Her joy was multiplied in her 18 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. Joyce shared her gifts of hospitality serving others in her home, at church and as a hospital volunteer. She was an Awana leader for 20 years because of her great love of children. Joyce leaves a legacy of love, the unconditional love she received from Jesus and passed to all who were blessed to call her daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt or friend.
