Age 67, died on Sunday, January 11, 2004 at Cherry Meadows Hospice, following a long struggle with cancer. Joyce was born in Marshfield, Wisconsin, on February 11, 1936, the daughter of the late August and Pauline (Toelle) Schnelle. She married Alfred Niemeier on February 9, 1985. Joyce loved watching birds in her backyard and listening to Christian music. She will be greatly missed by her husband, Alfred; four children, Debra Joy Meshke, Altadena, California; Pamela Kay (Rick) Schinigoi, Lakeville, Minnesota; Sheryl Ann Stanek, Stoughton, Wisconsin; Kevin Douglas (Amy) Meshke, Appleton; brother, Norman (Edna) Schnelle, Wausau; sister, Uldine (Elmer) Hoffman, Colby, Wisconsin; sixteen grandchildren, Thea, Jenny, Chrissy, Nathan, Justine, Erica, Chambria, Elizabeth, Katrina, Jaime, Jason, Joshua, Jacob, Cameron, Makayla and Alexis. Joyce was preceded in death by her infant brother. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, January 14, 2004 at CHRIST THE ROCK COMMUNITY CHURCH, W6254 Highway 10-114, Menasha, with Rev. David Vande Hey officiating. Visitors will be received at the church on Wednesday, January 14, from 9:30 until 10:45 a.m. The interment will be held at Northport-Ostrander Cemetery, Town of Mukwa, Wisconsin. As an expression of sympathy, memorials to benefit Christ the Rock Community Church are appreciated.
