Age 19, passed away in Appleton on Saturday, December 20, 2003. He was born in Milwaukee on November 28, 1984, son of Thomas and Katherine (Nicksic) Hinton. Joe graduated from Appleton North High School in June, 2003. He was an avid sports fan and loved to play basketball and football. The Atlanta Falcons was his beloved football team from the time he was very young. Joe’s uncles had recently introduced him to deer hunting near Mauston. He had hoped to continue the family tradition.

Joe is survived by his parents and his sister Molly; grandparents: John and Peggy Nicksic of Mauston; Aunts and Uncles: Steve and Laureen Hinton of Appleon, Dean and Sally Mayhew of Gilson, IL, John and Deb Nicksic of Mauston, Chuck and Barb Nicksic of Mauston, Mary and Kim Busch of Darlington, Mike and Judy Nicksic of Marshfield, Rose and Eric Gregersen of Middleton, and Joe and Andrea Nicksic of Baraboo. Joe is further survived by numerous cousins that had meant much to him. He will be long remembered for the love and respect given to him by his family and friends. All that knew and spent time with Joe knew of his love, loyalty and courage to move forward with his life.

Joe was preceded in death by his grandparents, Thomas and Florence Hinton of Appleton.

The funeral liturgy will be 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 23, 2003, at ST. JOSEPH CATHOLIC CHURCH, 410 West Lawrence Street, Appleton, with Fr. Kenneth Reinhart officiating. Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, 537 North Superior Street, Appleton. A procession from the funeral home to St. Joseph’s will occur at 12:30 p.m.
