Joseph H. Heid

Age 77, passed away Monday, September 30, 2002 at the St. Paul Home. Joe was born in the town of Ellington on December 8, 1924, son of the late John and Mary (Jochman) Heid. He will be remembered by many as an expert auto body technician who worked all around the Valley. In his retirement, he continued working in his own shop at home. Joe was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a real “tinkerer”, too, and always seemed to have some kind of project going.

Joe is survived by a special friend: Joan Johnson of Kaukauna; three sons: Daniel (Danna) Heid of Neenah, James (Janine) Heid of Neenah, and David (Lori) Heid of Appleton; two daughters: Kathy (Larry) Plaia of Appleton and Patti (Richard) Marin of Malibu, California; nine grandchildren: Shanon Heid; Eric, Jon, and Josh Heid; Aaron Krautkramer, Jason (Shannon) Krautkramer, Heidi Krautkramer; and Joey and Jasmine Marin; his former wife: Dolores Schulze of Menasha; a sister: Christina Petit of Berlin. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Harold (Leona) Heid; a sister Regina (Victor) Schulze; a brother-in-law Leo Petit and by two great-grandsons Jason and Andrew.

The funeral liturgy for Joe will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, October 3, 2002 at SACRED HEART CATHOLIC CHUCH in Sherwood with Fr. Kenneth Frozena officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Greenville. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 – 8 PM on Wednesday and again on Thursday at the church from 10 AM until the hour of the liturgy.
