Age 66, passed away Monday, August 7, 2006, at his home.

Joe was born March 14, 1940, in Hammond, Indiana, the son of the late Frank and Helen (Gill) Dybas. He was united in marriage to Lois V. Hollowell on March 29, 1970, and she preceded him in death on October 11, 2002. Prior to his retirement, Joe was a computer programmer for many years, working in the Fox Valley for different companies.
Joe was a parishioner of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, and was an active church volunteer. He enjoyed listening to old time radio programs and music, taking long drives in his van and enjoying a cigar. Joe was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. In the past he was a league bowler and liked hunting.

Survivors include his sister, Rose Schefke, of Bancroft; and his two nieces, Diane Schefke and Beverly Schefke, also of Bancroft.

A Memorial Mass for Joseph will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 11, 2006, at ST. THOMAS MORE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1810 North McDonald Street, Appleton, WI, 54911, with Father Gerald Falk as celebrant. Urn burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. Friday until the time of mass at the church. A memorial has been established to benefit St. Thomas More Catholic Church.
