Age 80, died Tuesday, January 31, 2006, at Franciscan Care Center of Appleton.

Joe was born March 31, 1925, in Elroy, Wisconsin, the son of the late Joseph, Sr. and Ida (Leist) Sanderson. He married Agnes Buell on May 11, 1950, and was a member of First English Lutheran Church of Appleton. Joe drove semi for C.W. Transport for 45 years and has been retired for several years.
Joe’s interests included gardening, golfing, watching football, reading the newspaper, hunting, and traveling out east, west, and down south.

Survivors include his wife, Agnes; his daughter, Debra (Daniel) Caven, and their son, Brendan, of Germantown; his sister, Elsie Borst, of Ellsworth, Wis.; his sisters-in-law, Edith Brown, of Appleton, and Bertha Kubycheck, of Phelps, Wis.; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Joe will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 3, 2006, at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, 537 North Superior Street, with Rev. Vicki Fink officiating. Entombment will be in the Star of Hope Mausoleum, Appleton Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. Friday until the time of services directly at the funeral home. A memorial fund in Joe’s name is being established.
