Dr. Jon Andrew Peterson, D.C. crossed over on February 7th, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton.
Jon was born on January 20th, 1975 in Manitowoc, to Ron and Carol (Artz) Peterson of Appleton. He married his soulmate Shannon Rae Buyarski on July 1st of 2004 and lived out their dream of tending the earth on a small farm near Hilbert. Jon was a loving, thoughtful father whose sole purpose in life was to think of and care for others. His children, Amelia 10, Augie 7, and Hazel 4 were his light, his purpose, and his inspiration.
Jon Peterson graduated from Appleton West, class of 1993. He attended UW-Stevens Point for his undergraduate degree and received his Doctorate Degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 2001. He began his career shortly after graduation, at Boots Chiropractic and Wellness Center where he developed his life's work. Jon relentlessly dedicated himself to his patients, envisioning a progressive approach to health care that would ensure the connection of mind-body-spirit between his patients and the world in which he lived. His innovative and open-minded touch was an honor to his profession.
Besides his parents, wife and children, he is survived by his siblings: Rachel (Steve) Lallensack of Richfield and their children Ryan, Alyssa, and Jadyn; Rebecca (Scott) Dawson of Chilton and their children Ashley (Tyler), Allison, Austin, Molly and Maggie; James (Amanda Matthews) Peterson of Appleton and their daughter Maile. Shannon's family includes her parents: Ron and Doris Buyarski of Fence; her siblings; Craig Buyarski of Marquette, Michigan and his children Andon, Mara, and Lily; Jamie (Riki) Schulz of Green Bay and their daughter Magnolia; and Christopher (Michelle LaRue) Buyarski of Stillwater, Minnesota; and her maternal grandmother: Anna Mae (Worachek) Dorner of Luxemburg.
He was preceded in death by his loving paternal grandparents: John and Helen (Clowry) Peterson; maternal grandparents: Ervin and LaVerna (Schroeder) Artz; Shannon's paternal grandparents: Henry and Lillian (Duquaine) Buyarski; and her maternal grandfather: Roman Dorner.

Jon had the heart of a true servant. He was a humble man whose only goals in life were to love those who loved him and to help others.
A memorial fund is being established to assist Jon's children with their college educations.
