Age 54, died on August 19, 2003 at St. Elizabeth Hospital. John was born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin on December 20, 1948, the son of Orville and Annabelle (Lauson) Kestell. He loyally served his country in the U.S. Army, B21st Calvary, during the Vietnam War. John married Sandi (Wizner) Mischler on May 29, 2003. He was a talented musician who loved to play the guitar and banjo. John was also a fan of old time radio, vintage sci-fi, Oscar Brandt and the Kingston Trio. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Sandi; his mother, Annie Kestell; 2 sons, Doug (Angela) Kestell and their children, Aubrey, Orie and Isabella; John Kestell; his daughter, Molly (Dan) Thede, and their son, Indigo; step-daughter, Dee Ann (Wizner) Sarcomo; 4 brothers, William (Julie), Mike (Renee), Howard (Veronica) Kestell and Chris (Debbie) Crane-Kestell; and his sister, Mary (Terry) Kolb. John was preceded in death by his father, Orville. The memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m., on Monday, August 25, 2003 at WICHMANN TRI COUNTY CHAPEL, with Deacon Pete Reinl officiating. Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Monday, August 25 from 4 until 6:45 p.m.
