Engberg, John R.
John R. Engberg, age 36, died Tuesday morning, May 24, 2005, following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born September 22, 1968, to Robert J. and Shirley A. (Wood) Engberg, in White Bear Lake, Minnesota, and grew up in Blaine, MN. John graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stout, in 1991, with degrees in Construction Management and Business. Following his graduation, he married Lori J. Pisczor on June 27, 1992, in DePere, WI. After his marriage he lived in Colorado for nine years and then moved to Greenville, WI. John had been employed by Miron Construction. He was an avid outdoorsman that enjoyed hunting, camping and snowmobiling, but his greatest love was fishing with his children.
He is survived by his wife Lori; his three young children, Mitchell, Anna and Grace, all at home; his mother, Shirley Engberg, Blaine, MN; his father, Robert (Polly) Engberg, Chugiak, AK; his sister, Cheryl (Dan) Werner, Wapello, Iowa; a step brother, Sean (Erin) Tupper, Anchorage, AK; a half-brother, James Engberg, Chugiak, AK; his father and mother-in-law, James and Mary Pisczor, Green Bay; a brother-in-law, Michael Pisczor, Wausau, WI; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
The funeral liturgy for John will be held at 12:00 pm (Noon), Friday, May 27, 2005, at St. Mary Catholic Church, N2385 Municipal Drive, Greenville, WI with Father Mark Vander Steeg officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Greenville, WI. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 8 pm Thursday and on Friday at the church from 11:00 am, until the time of the mass. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established.
