Age 98, passed away in Salem, Oregon on May 21, 2005. He was born in Wisconsin, but worked in the Pacific Northwest most of his adult life. Early on, he erected electric towers and then worked for the Boonneville Power Administration, almost from its inception. Jack was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Salem, NARGE, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, and the Oregon Council for the Blind. He is survived by his wife: Genevieve Barbieur; a son John "Jack" Barbieur; five grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded by his parents, and by a son Robert in 1985.
A graveside service for Jack will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2005 at Holy Cross Cemetery in Kaukauna, with Fr. Jack Mullarkey officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM, at which time there will be a rosary service.
