John N. Marx “Jack”, age 69, of Appleton, passed away peacefully on Monday December 21, 2015 at Heritage Woods. He was born June 20, 1946, in Appleton the son of John “Hans” and Margaret K. “Muggs” Marx. Jack proudly served his country as a member of the 3rd and 26th battalion of the Marines in Vietnam from 1966-1967.
He is survived by his brother Bob (Sandy) Marx; nephews, Dan (Julie) Marx, Greg Marx, Craig (Tina) Marx; niece Gretchen (Travis) Burns, and their children. He is further survived by his special friend Teri Stecker.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents John and Margaret, brother Tom “TR”, sister-in-law Carol, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Jack will miss his special friends; Mike DeVries, Jim Winske, Barry Emmer, Andy Grignon, Bob, Jim and Mike Siddall.
Jack wishes to extend a thank you to the staff and friends at the King Home for Veterans and the Thedacare home hospice care unit in Appleton.
In accordance with Jack's wishes there will be no formal funeral services.
