John H. Sturm, 92, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at Prairie Homes Assisted Living, Menasha. He was born on November 15, 1925, in the Town of Menasha, the son of John N. and Catherine (Frahm) Sturm. John honorably served in the U.S. Army from 1951-1953, during the Korean War. He was united in marriage to Kathleen LeBouton on November 12, 1955, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Menasha. John was employed with Kimberly Clark for over 40 years, retiring in 1989. He enjoyed gardening and going on rides with his sweetheart, Kathy.
John is survived by his wife: Kathy; 3 children: Jane (Jeff) Van Handel, John K. Sturm, and Mary (Michael) Strohm; 2 grandchildren: Amanda Weigman and Octavia Strohm; 4 siblings: Lois Fransway, Francis (Carol) Sturm, Bill (Clare) Sturm, and Susan (Richard) Miller; a sister-in-law: Mary Sturm; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
John was preceded in death by his parents; a brother: Glenn Sturm; and a brother-in-law: Pete Fransway.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 am, on Tuesday, June 12, 2018, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 528 Second St., Menasha, with Fr. Paul Paider officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Menasha. Visitation will be Tuesday at the Church from 10:30 am until the time of the Mass. Memorials are appreciated to Alzheimer’s research.
