John E. "Jack" Densmore, Jr.

DENSMORE, JOHN E. “JACK”, JR.

Jack Densmore, of Appleton; age 65 years, passed away at home with his family by his side on Tuesday, December 20, 2005. He was born July 22, 1940 in Portland, Maine, a son of the late John E. and Rose (D’Arcangelo) Densmore.

Jack started his career as a self employed heating and plumbing contractor. A member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 276 Brockton, MA and Local 51 of Providence, RI. Jack worked in construction management of power plants, refineries and paper mills. Since 1996, Jack worked as a Construction Superintendent at AZCO INC., Appleton, WI. He was a well-respected friend and mentor to his co-workers.

Like his grandfather, Jack was passionate about farming and raising cows. He spent his final three years happily tending to his cows and building his dream house.

Jack is survived by his wife of 21 years, Brenda (Goff) Densmore of Appleton; sons: Anthony Densmore of Appleton, WI and James Densmore of Everett, WA: daughter, Debra Kurseth of Seattle, WA; 6 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren: brother, Matthew Densmore of Windham, ME; sisters: Connie Densmore of Yarmouth, ME and Marsha Densmore of Portland, ME; 1 aunt, Myrtle Densmore of South Portland, ME; father and mother-in-law, Allan and Marie Goff of Kenosha, WI. Jack is preceded in death by step-daughter, Kelly Hughes, Hyannis, MA.

The memorial service for Jack will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday, December 22, 2005 at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME with Chaplain Jordan Kuczwara officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4:00 PM until the time of service. Memorials to the McArdle Laboratory for Cancer Research, UW-Madison appreciated.
