John C. Reuter

September 30, 1934 — January 7, 2019

John C. Reuter, age 84, passed away on January 7, 2019 while surrounded by his family. He was born on September 30, 1934, son of the late Cyril and Lillian (Gozz) Reuter. John graduated from St. Mary High School and went on to work for George Banta Company for over 44 years until his retirement. He married Norita Toennessen on June 9, 1956 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Menasha. John enjoyed camping, trout fishing, woodworking and cheering for the Green Bay Packers.

He is survived by his children: Jack (Lisa) Reuter, Menasha and William (Susan) Reuter, Fremont; grandchildren: Ann Reuter and Eric (Fiance, Lyla Goerl) Reuter; brother: David (Maria) Reuter; siblings-in-law: John (Val) Toennessen and Mary (Peter) Krautkramer; he is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

John was preceded in death by his wife, Norita Reuter and her parents, Charlotte and Maurice “Biff” Toennessen.

The memorial service for John will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at Wichmann-Laemmrich Funeral Home (312 Milwaukee St., Menasha) with Deacon Don Schultz officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
