Joann L. Dreier, age 76, of Appleton, died Tuesday afternoon, July 31, 2007, at Appleton Medical Center. She was born April 5, 1931, to the late Lawrence and Lorraine (Hidde) Thern, in Town of Liberty, WI, Outagamie County. Joann married Harold D. Dreier on August 6, 1949, at Emanuel Ev. Lutheran Church, New London. Joann worked many years at Too Little For Me Shop, in Appleton and AAL (Thrivent). She was a member of Riverview Ev. Lutheran Church. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Harold D. Dreier; a son Dirk (Barb) Dreier; a daughter, Minka (James) Greely; two grandchildren, Justyn and Danielle Denney; two sisters, Kathy Manske, New London; Marlene (the late Don) Wegner, Appleton; two brothers, Ken (Peg) Thern, Honolulu; Ralph (the late Dorothy) Thern, New London. Memorial services for Joann will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, August 3, 2007, at RIVERVIEW EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, with Reverend Dennis W. Belter officiating. Burial will be in Mosquito Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 9:00 am, Friday, until the time of the service. A memorial fund is being established.
