JoAnn “Jo” Seifert, age 63, of Appleton, lost her long battle with cancer on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at the home she shared with her sister Toby. She was born on December 16, 1957 in Appleton to Robert and Denver (Spencer) Schlieve. She attended Appleton West High School. On September 10, 1988 she married Robert “Bob” Seifert and he preceded her in death.
More than anything, Jo loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her “Golden Girls”. She was especially thankful for her Golden Girl, Toby and everything she did for and with her the past four years as her sister, roommate, caretaker and best friend. Thanks to her brother Bobby as well for being her regular chauffer.
Joann enjoyed watching and talking about sports, Budweiser Beer and music. She was a fan of Janis Joplin and many other iconic rock legends. She had the best devilled egg recipe.
JoAnn leaves behind her son, Rob “Smokey” (Cory) Seifert, her grandson, the joy of her life, Camden, three sisters: Toby, Karen and Jennifer (Carlos), five brothers, Bob (Julie), David (Barb), Charlie (Sara), Gary (Mary Jo), Dennis (Kay), sister-in-law Joan (Eddie) as well as many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, the love of her life Robert “Bob” and a brother-in-law Bruce.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 8, 2021 beginning at 1:00pm at the Tenth Frame Sports Bar at 618 W. Wisconsin Avenue in Appleton. Wichmann Funeral Homes of Appleton is serving the family. For more information and to express condolences, please visit www.wichmannfuneralhomes.com.
