KRUEGER, JOAN V.

Joan Krueger, of Appleton, age 83, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 4, 2008 at Appleton Health Care Center. She was born on October 5, 1924 in London, England the daughter of the late Richard and Gladys (Neale) Miller. Joan joined the Royal Air Force from 1942 – 1944 during WWII Blitz on London. On April 8, 1944 she married Carl Krueger in England. They came to Wisconsin in March on 1946 and became a U.S. citizen in 1962. English by birth, American by choice.

She is survived by her husband: Carl Krueger; children: Paul Krueger, Dennis Krueger, Russ (Denise) Krueger and Samantha (Chuck) Ascher; granddaughters: Tracey, Corey, Mallory and Cassandra. Joan is further survived by other relatives and friends. She was preceded by her parents, her son Terry Krueger, her sister Gwendoline Grimes and grandson Jordan.

A memorial gathering for Joan will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2008 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation appreciated.
