Joan Marie Smyrneos

Joan Marie Smyrneos passed away peacefully on March 2nd surrounded by her family.  Joan was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to so many.  She was very proud to have been a lifelong supporter and volunteer of the Democratic Party. She loved all of the cats and dogs she had over the years and I’m sure “Mister” and Olivia are missing their Mommy.

She is preceded in death by her husband James Smyrneos, brother James Boudry and son Bernard (Buddy) Schemmel.  She is survived by her children Patti Beske (Dennis), Zoe Gibby (Jerry), Kerry Schemmel (Robin), Mark Schemmel (Louise), Melissa Buss (Brad), Polly Hayes (Roger), Anthony Smyrneos (Kim) and Bruce Leitzke. She had many grandchildren and great grandchildren who will miss GG.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
