Joan Schumacher, aged 89, of Kimberly, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 1st, 2024. She was born on August 17th, 1934, to the late McKinley and Eunice Robinson. On July 31st, 1953, Joan married Clyde Schumacher. Together, they built their home in Kimberly, WI, where they raised their five children: Steve, Tim, Lynn, Mark, and Lisa. Clyde and Joan operated their own business in Sherwood, WI, C&S Auto Parts, where Joan served as the bookkeeper and parts runner. They cherished their cottage on Chute Pond in Breed, WI, where they warmly welcomed family and visitors to sit by the fire pit, making it their home away from home.
Joan had a love for family gatherings. She also enjoyed games and puzzles, always ready for friendly competition or a challenging brain teaser. She took pride in her title as the reigning puzzle champion earned at St. Paul's Villa, where she resided since 2020. Though she may be gone from our sight, her spirit will forever remain a guiding light in our lives.
She is survived by her children and their spouses: Tim (Colleen), Lynn (Mike) Kavanagh, Mark (Wendi) and Lisa (Chad) Pethke, grandchildren, great-grandchildren; her sister Beverly Lyon and a host of relatives and friends who will carry her memory with them always. May she rest in eternal peace, reunited with her beloved Clyde and son Steve, and brother Robert Robinson.
